Convergence:

bring different parts of the media into one place- e.g iphones or laptops(music/internet/movies/pictures/phone/games).

mp3
(plays music/ Radio/ Music recording/ Voice recording/ Personal information management/Colour screens and photo viewing)

ipod
( Mail/ YouTube/ Contacts/ Calendar/ iTunes (for buying music)/ safari (internet browser)/ App Store with all games/ Photos/ Clock/ Stocks/ Maps (wifi needed)/ Calculator/ Notes/ and Weather)

iphone
(iPhone 3GS/Phone/iPod/Safari/Mail/Video Recording/Photos/Voice Control/Messages/Maps + Compass/Keyboard/Cut, Copy & Paste/Search/Voice Memos/Accessibility/Tethering/App Store/iTunes/Home Screen/ and everything that is included with the ipod touch)

xbox
(plays games/ dvd/ music/ downloads/ internet/ facebook)

ps3

All of these are examples of convergence as they all include more then one type of media. All of them let you download music to them using any download websites.on the ipod and iphone you can watch youtube and have live streaming to music.
There are websites that you can download music illegally that will work on them.

Out of the music players i have researched i would most like to have an IPOD phone as it is the one with the most apps, it has the largest amount of convergence.
